Reporting to the Director, Recruitment & Organizational Development, the Total Rewards & HRIS Administrator provides program administration, co-ordination and analytical services in support of Halton Healthcare’s Total Rewards Program. 

Position Profile

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all new hires, internal transfers and terminations in accordance with payroll deadlines.
  • Provide advice and guidance on requests for employee and program information from both managers and employees on a variety of topics such as leave and benefit plans, pension administration, job evaluation processes, salary administration, human resources policies and procedures.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate program activities with cross functional HR functions (ie, Employee and Labour Relations, Occupational Health and Safety, Recruitment) in the provision of related services.
  • Support the Job Evaluation program processes and results. Assist in the completion and performance analysis of compensation salary surveys and conduct research for various compensation initiatives. Assist with other Compensation reviews and validate job related documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of internal compensation and benefits information related to Halton Healthcare’s Total Rewards Program to ensure compliance.  
  • Update various system administration tables to ensure required functionality supports HHS’s needs. Maintain codes for salary plans, salary grades, job information and administration tables and perform regular updates as required.
  • Regular audits and quality improvement activities are an integral part of the responsibilities. 

Candidate Profile:

  • Community College 3 year diploma in Human Resources Management, CHRP preferred
  • Understanding and working knowledge of relevant Employment and Labour Legislation (ie, Human Rights, Pay Equity etc).
  • Working knowledge of Total Rewards concept and program elements (pension, life insurance, health/dental benefits, compensation, job evaluation, employee assistance, performance management etc).
  • Sound computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office and HRIS applications.
  • Excellent spreadsheet, word processing and database management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated superior customer service skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to self-prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of cross functional teams
