Position:  Student

Department:  Human Resources – Organizational Development (OD)

Status: Unpaid Co-op placement - Summer 2018

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hour days preferred; flexible times

Site:  Oakville

This Student position will provide administrative support to the OD team as a whole.

Duties may include:

  • Project work related to ongoing initiatives (e.g. recognition programs, leadership development, etc.)
  • Provide logistical support to orientation and training initiatives including Corporate Orientation (e.g. organizing learning packages, attendance tracking, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support on hospital’s eLearning Centre
  • Process submissions for tuition reimbursement
  • Assist in the development of new OD processes/policies including research into best practices
  • Give logistical and research support the other members of the OD in their projects/initiatives
  • Support the administrative functions of the Human Resources portfolio as a whole when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Student Qualifiers: 

  • Enrolled in a Human Resources program in University or College and require a Co Op placement required
  • Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain positive and beneficial relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Advanced social media and ability to use search engines.

If successful, Students will be required to obtain a criminal record check and demonstrate that their immunization status is in compliance with legislative requirements.
