Department: Rehabilitation Services

Status: Temporary Part-Time. (approx. March 2019) Must provide availability up to 0.5 FTE.

Hours: Monday to Sunday - various day shifts - 4 hours (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Site: Oakville (primary site) Milton & Georgetown (as required)

This is what you’ll be doing:

The physiotherapist will provide coverage on an acute inpatient rehab unit, complex transitional care, and acute medical /surgical units. The physiotherapist will work with patients with neurological, musculoskeletal and other conditions. The therapist will work with an interprofessional team and work collaboratively to progress patients through their hospital stay

  • B.Sc.PT or MSc PT
  • Licensed with the College of Physiotherapy
  • Minimum of one year experience working in an acute hospital setting
  • Demonstrated experience working with rehab patients
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must be flexible and show an ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with all team members
  • Physically able to manage a moderately heavy job
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record
  • Availability for weekday coverage is required
